Week 1 Tutorial



10 Tips and Tricks

1. Users are able to make their own short cut through "Configuration Toolbox Macros"

2. Moving elements in the environment can be based on the planes (X, Y, Z, XY) or snapped to grid.

3. Cryengine works based on meters, no other units are used. This includes the grid that is used as the base for moving objects.

4. Editor windows can be combine by dragging and placing on top of each other, resulting a window with multiple tabs.

5. If multiple objects are blocked and saved as group ("Save Selected Object"), when that specific group is deleted from the environment, to restore the group will be easier by just loading it from "Load Object" button

6. All control tabs are available on "View" -> "Open View Pane"

7. Activating AI physics can be done by pressing "Ctrl + G"

8. In Cryengine, there are multiple ways to do one command, including the long way by activating a panel from tips 6

9. Camera movement can be adjusted from the bottom tab with the word "Speed"; the higher the number is, the faster the camera moves

10. What ever that user see on the view port, it is what user will get as the result of the work, user is working on a full real time environment, no rendering needed.
